Very hardy plant with rapid growth. It prefers full sunlight and half-shade and it is a melliferous plant. This plant is suitable for large gardens and for creating shrubland and woods (several varieties together). This is a large deciduous tree with a broad and tall canopy. Its oblong leaves measure 15-20 cm and are bright green, turning a beautiful yellow in autumn. It produces beautiful and fragrant flowers in June-July, followed by the well-known fruits (chestnuts) maturing in October-November. It thrives in cool climates and acidic mountain soils.
