Very hardy plant with rapid growth. It prefers sunlight. This plant is suitable for large gardens and for groups (several plants of the same variety). It has upward-curving branches, well-spaced, covered with long dark green needles, on which long white buds stand out in spring, which in Japan are likened to candles. A mountain essence, it prefers climates with snowy winters and not too humid summers. It grows in all types of soils, even clayey ones, and tolerates the presence of limestone. It does not require pruning but tolerates it well.
